Napoli ready to pay Suso’s release clause

AC Milan face a summer of fire. It will not be a sparkling shopping campaign like last year. The Rossoneri have set their priorities but first of all the club must secure the future of its stars.

Waiting to understand what will be the developments regarding Gianluigi Donnarumma’s future, the Rossoneri will also have to deal with the situation of Suso. The Spaniard renewed his contract with AC Milan last September until 2022 and is now earning 3 million euros per season. He a pillar of the squad at the moment but anything can happen in the summer. Also because, the talented right winger has a relatively low release clause.

Atletico Madrid, Liverpool, Roma and Inter are among his suitors but now Napoli have entered the race for his services. Apparently the Partenopei have decided to make Suso their number 1 target for next summer with Aurelio De Laurentiis and Maurizio Sarri agreeing that he’s the right man to help Napoli fight for the Scudetto.

According to reports, president De Laurentiis is willing to pay Suso’s release clause (about 40 million) or even offer Jose Callejon in exchange plus cash. Club director Mirabelli has repeatedly declared that the Red and Blacks want to keep Suso at San Siro for many years but if another club decides to activate his release clause than the rossoneri would be powerless to prevent his sale. The player himself has the final word.
